Browning is a chemical treatment for blackening metal items made of iron, brass, aluminum and steel. It provides a shiny black-and-bluish oiled color and is generally used to improve the aesthetics of processed parts, protect against corrosion and protect against atmospheric influences. It is possible to modulate the degree of gloss of the blackened layer by acting on the preparation of the foundation surface. One of the advantages of browning is that it does not significantly change the thickness (and therefore the dimensions) of the processed item.
The blackening layer mainly consists of oxides about 0.1 microns thick. Another strong side is the corrosion resistance that the treated metal pieces acquire since the pores are completely blocked by finishing oil and do not allow water to penetrate.
The process of browning is carried out on a semi-automatic line consisting of a series of stainless steel bathtubs in which metal products are immersed and processed in a certain order (degreasing, rinsing, activation, controlled oxidation, emulsion, corrosion protection).
Maximum dimensions of the item:
The galvanizing process takes place on another, larger semi-automatic line consisting of a series of polypropylene bathtubs in which metal objects are immersed on special devices (hangers and drums) and a layer of zinc is applied to them (surface preparation, pickling, activation, rinsing, electrolytic application of zinc, passivation, drying…).
The galvanization process can be applied to objects made of steel, alloy steel, brass, copper and copper alloys. Depending on the dimensions of the item and technical requirements, items can be galvanized on hangers (larger-sized goods) or in drums (e.g. nuts and screws).
The thickness of the zinc layer is determined by DIN and ISO standards, amounting to 5 to 25 microns.
Maximum dimensions of the item:
The price is calculated by the weight of galvanized items, which depends on several factors like the dimensions of the item, the thickness and surface of the material, as well as the amount of items delivered for galvanizing.

Double Protection (Duplex System)
Special anti-corrosion protection capabilities are given by double protection, i.e. zinc plating and electrostatic powder coating (powder coating).
By application of this system, the possibility of corrosion of iron under the coating is avoided, which, due to the increase in the volume of corrosion products, separates the coatings from the substrate.
Powder coating is a process whereby the item is covered with special powder using the principle of electricity. Electricity attracts powder to the empty spaces of the item and rejects where it is already applied, therefore providing an evenly distributed layer which, during polymerization at 180-200 °C, converts into a uniform layer of protective plastic. Processing materials are steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
The precondition for powder coating is the preparation and cleaning of the metal after which the powder is applied by an electrostatic gun. Dimensions of the furnace are LxWxH = 7100x1400x1800 mm, which allows us to powder coat a large number of different objects.
